Princetonian Debuts at Michigan Opera Theater - November 2012

An outstanding Princeton graduate (See Cover and article in March 17, 2012 edition of PAW), Anthony Roth Costanzo ’04, will perform the role of Tolomeo in Michigan Opera Theatre’s production of Handel’s Baroque opera “Julius Caesar” in his debut performance in Detroit. A professional singer and actor whose career in musicals and operas started at the age of 13, Anthony Roth Costanzo began specializing in opera while at Princeton and is one of those rare male singers who have mastered the art of singing countertenor operatic roles.

We recommend that you make the effort to attend one of the performances of “Julius Caesar” at the Detroit Opera House, 1526 Broadway, Detroit, MI 48236. The Detroit Opera House is noted for the high quality of its acoustics and its live orchestra. Dates and times of performances are:
  • November 10, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. (Opening Night)
  • November 14, 2012 at 7:30 p.m.*
  • November 16, 2012 at 7:30 p.m.
  • November 17, 2012 at 7:30 p.m.
  • November 18, 2012 at 2:30 p.m.
