About Our Hosts

Madeleine Hill Vedel '89 was initiated into the wine world through her parents' prized - if small - French-centric wine cellar. From her base in Provence she has operated food and wine tours for over 20 years. Currently installed in the North Michigan woods of Bellaire, she covers the local wine and food scene for numerous local and national publications. More info on Madeleine and her food and wine tours on her website cuisineprovencale.com.

Madeleine will be joined by Melissa Fischer, semi-retired from a two decade career in the wine business in Michigan, covering the restaurant world and wine distribution. (read more about her in Michigan Uncorked)

We may also be joined on the Zoom call by:

Jim Rink, editor of the online Michigan Uncorked magazine and the trade magazine American Wine Journal. Jim is the son of Bernie Rink, founder of one of the first wineries on the Leelanau Peninsula, Boskydel.
