About Our Hosts

Madeleine Hill Vedel '89 was initiated into the wine world through her parents' prized - if small - French-centric wine cellar. From her base in Provence she has operated food and wine tours for over 20 years. Currently installed in the North Michigan woods of Bellaire, she covers the local wine and food scene for numerous local and national publications. In his 2021 State of the University letter, Princeton University's President Christopher L. Eisgruber remarked, 

 "We will press onward with the actions and conversations required to make this University stronger, more inclusive and equitable, and truer to the aspirations that we cherish. Doing so will require more discussions about challenging topics including race in America and at Princeton." 

Princeton Diversity Discussions is our ongoing series of friendly and inclusive gatherings for discussing race-related issues, supported by the Association of Black Princeton Alumni (ABPA), Association of Latino Princeton Alumni (ALPA), Asian American Alumni Association of Princeton (A4P), Princeton Club of Michigan, Princeton Club of Minnesota, Princeton Association of Delaware, Princeton Association of New York City (PANYC), Princeton Club of San Diego (PCSD), Princeton Club of Northern California (PCNC), Princeton Club of Southern California (PCSC), Princeton Association of New England (PANE), Princeton Club of Washington (PCW), Princeton Area Alumni Association (PA3), Princeton Club of Chicago (PCC), the Class of 1980, the Class of 1990, and Terrace.

Stand Out of Our Light: Online Precept

The Princeton Club of Michigan and the Princeton Women’s Network (PWN) invite you to attend an online precept on the book "Stand Out of Our Light: Freedom and Resistance in the Attention Economy" by James Williams. This informal discussion will be a pilot to bring small groups of Princeton alumnae together virtually. President Eisgruber picked this book as his pre-read selection for all incoming Princeton freshmen this past fall. Please join conversation host and Ann Arbor resident, Stephanie Blackburn Freeth '97 S95, for an online video-based precept-like discussion of the book on March 25th from noon-1:00 EST.
